Tuition and Fees General Information
Tuition and fees are determined periodically by the College Board of Trustees. NCCC charges tuition and fees on a per credit hour basis. Fees are charged to maintain and enhance technology, physical facilities, scholarship opportunities, and student life. In addition, certain classes have special fees assessed to help defray the cost of materials and supplies. For a current list of tuition, fees, and special fees, see the class schedule, contact student services, or click here. NOTE: Tuition & fees are subject to change without notice.

Graduation Fee
There will be no graduation fee starting Fall 2012.
Transcript Fee
Transcripts of work completed at NCCC are provided to other institutions of higher learning or any other entity of the student’s choosing. A $7.50 fee is charged for each official transcript. Transcript requests will not be processed until all obligations to the institution are met in full and all holds are cleared by the student.
Ordering Transcripts Online
NCCC has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Web. You can order transcripts using any major credit OR debit cards, including international. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed.
• To order an official transcript(s), please click the link below:
https://www.studentclearinghouse.org/secure_area/Transcript/to_bridge.asp
You will need to click on the orange "Order-Track-Verify" button to begin the ordering process.
• The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session. A processing fee will be charged per recipient.
• Order updates will be emailed to you. You can also track your order online. Please note: If you receive an update that notifies you of a hold on your account, this hold must be taken care of before NCCC will release your transcript.
Payment Information
Students should be prepared to pay tuition and fees on or about July 25 for the fall semester, January 5 for the spring semester, and May 15 for the summer sessions. Students enrolling after these deadlines must pay at the time of enrollment, or have financial aid and/or scholarships in place to cover their entire balance. NCCC also offers a convenient installment payment plan, Nelnet. The sign up instructions can be found on the student' s myNeosho page under myFinances, Payment Plan. There is a $35 user fee for this service. The payment plan allows the student to make payments on their account through the semester. The $35 payment plan fee, plus a percentage of the total balance must be paid with enrollment in the payment plan. Payments will be taken directly from a checking, savings, debit or credit card on the 5th of each month. The payment plan option is not available for the summer sessions, or intersession classes. NCCC accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. No transcripts or other information will be released to students or other educational institutions until all financial obligations to NCCC are met in full.
If a check made payable to NCCC is returned for any reason, a returned check fee of $30 will be charged for each returned check. The student will be notified at their current student address if a check is returned. If the payment is not made to the College within ten days, the matter may be referred to a collection agency. The student’s records will be placed on hold until the returned check fee and all outstanding NCCC financial obligations have been paid. Once a student has a returned check, the College will accept only cash, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover as payment.

Books and Supplies
Rental textbooks, purchased textbooks, and school supplies are available at the NCCC bookstore. Located in the Student Union on the Chanute campus, the College bookstore also carries school spirit logo items such as shirts, hats, t-shirts and many other items. In Chanute, the Bookstore is open daily Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ottawa bookstore hours are available by calling 785.248.2823 or the Ottawa office.
Textbook Rental
A textbook rental system is used at NCCC. The fee for the textbook rental is charged to each student’s account and most textbooks are available. This system saves the student several hundreds of dollars each semester. The books that are rented are distributed through the NCCC bookstore and must be returned to the bookstore no later than 3:00 p.m. the Monday following finals each semester or when a class has been dropped. If the book(s) are not returned on time, a late fee will be charged to the student’s account and all grades and transcripts will be placed on hold until the fine has been paid.
Not all textbooks are available to rent. Lab books, computer books, workbooks, class notebooks, and nursing books are not available for this service as well as others. Please check with the bookstore to see if books are able to be rented or must be purchased.
Housing
NCCC maintains two residence halls at the Chanute campus. Bideau Hall was completed in 2000 and houses 200 students. NeoKan Hall houses 40 students. A $125 nonrefundable application fee is due upon signing a housing contract. Applications containing full information pertaining to room and board and associated costs are available in student services, 620-432-0380, or on the NCCC web page. No college housing is available at any other college site.
