Men’s Soccer manager splits time in U.S. Air Force

This Veteran's Day, Neosho County Community College (NCCC) would like to thank Jakobb Haney for his service to our country.

Haney, a sophomore from Gardner, Kan., is the manager for the Men's Soccer team. He also serves as an active member of the United States Air Force. Haney is a Senior Airman in the security forces division and describes his service as ground-based defense of installations.

"We ensure that those who come to an installation are safe and that all assets on base are protected and secure from any threat," Haney said. "We work 24 hours a day year-round taking care of millions of dollars’ worth of assets. Some of us deploy to various locations based on the current needs of the Air Force, and some of us specialize in flying aircraft to protect soldiers in deployment environments.”

NCCC is proud to call Jakobb Haney a Panther!
