Work Weeks

Full-time employees work 36 hours per week, paid for 40.  Hours during the academic year 8:00 – 5:00 M – TH, 8:00 – 12:00 F, Summer hours 7:30 — 5:30  M – TH

Full-time and permanent part-time employees are entitled to vacation pay based upon employment classification and years of service. Vacation hours will accrue monthly.

Nursing Instructor

Coordinates Activities with: Course Coordinator

Classification: Instructor, 9 months

Salary Range: Salary according to educational preparation and experience

Master's degree in Nursing required. Assigments based on clinical experience, certifications, or advanced licensure. Instructors shall hold at least a baccalaureate degree and shall show yearly academic progress toward meeting requirements for the Master's degree in nursing. 

At lease two years of recent nursing expereince in a hospital or similar health care facility and/or recent nursing education experience preferred.

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Clinician (DMSC) reports to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Developer (DMSPD) and is responsible for piloting diagnostic medical sonography (DMS) courses as assigned and developing and maintaining clinical sites for the DMS program. The DMSC is responsible for instructing courses in the DMS program and assisting in the hiring and supervising of adjunct instructors as directed by the DMSPD.

Career Opportunity Career Summary

Adjunct Instructor - Construction Technology - La Harpe, KS

Construction Technology instructor needed 2 hours/day (8 a.m. – 10 a.m.) Monday – Friday at the Regional Rural Technology Center in LaHarpe. 

This instructor will be responsible for teaching the construction curriculum and overseeing the completion of a house renovation project in Iola.

Adjunct Instructor - Chemistry - Ottawa Campus

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in field preferred or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in field required. 

Previous successful college level teaching experience preferred.

Tutors will be working with high school students at Chanute High School and Iola High School. Knowledgeable of all core classes. The majority of meeting times with students would be before the high school day begins and after it ends, approximately 7:00-7:45 am & between 3:00– 5:00 pm.
